New York Gallery
Eye for Art’s heritage begins in Karachi in 2004. Founded by Ali Haider and Jawaid Haider and inaugurated by Zaro Gulgee, the gallery space has long been recognized as the leading venue for old master paintings from Pakistan. The gallery seeks to emphasize those artists whose groundbreaking practice has paved the way for modern & contemporary discourse in South Asian Art, pushing forward the founding fathers of these ideas and their innovations. In recent years, the gallery has also featured work by artists from India and Bangladesh, with events dedicated to artists who were part of the Progressive Artists Group of Bombay.
